We offer in-home lessons and studio lessons at our General Booth Studio. All lessons are generally 30 minutes and are one on one. In-home lessons are available in all of Virginia Beach and Chesapeake.
Pricing & Additional Information:
All in-home and studio lessons are priced the same regardless of the instrument.
- Studio lessons are a flat rate of $148 per month.
- In-home lessons are a flat rate of $160 per month.
- All lessons do require students to be on auto-pay with a major credit card or debit card. A two lesson deposit is required if the student chooses not to be on auto-pay (Studio only).
- All new students pay a $19 registration fee.

Our Staff

Tim Waggoner
Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Violin, Viola, & Cello
Tim makes learning music fun and is very patient with all students, especially beginners. This comes from teaching over 60,000 lessons since 1993. He has taught from coast to coast as he has mostly owned or managed over 9 music retail and studio locations. Tim received his music education from over 10 years of private lessons and a music degree from Northern VA Community College and George Mason University. Besides teaching privately he has been a guest music teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and has written his own instructional book for guitar titled “The Alter Ego Guitar Methodâ€.

Jacob Packer
Guitar, Piano, Uke, Bass Guitar, & Voice
Jacob Packer is a multi-instrumentalist with over 30 years of experience in live performance, recording and composition. He earned his bachelor’s degree in music, and he has recorded and performed in Detroit, Los Angeles, New York and London, England. He teaches Guitar, Bass, Piano, Vocals and Synthesizer as well as composition and home recording. He teaches many genres and styles including Rock, Metal, Classical, Electronic, Pop and more. Whether you want to learn theory, composition or just basic technique, Jacob is your Yoda. He provides a safe and comfortable atmosphere for students to develop in and caters his lessons to each individual learning style.

Adrianna Bowers
Piano
Experienced and dedicated piano teacher with over seven years of teaching students of various ages and skill levels. Skilled in developing individualized lesson plans that cater to the unique needs and goals of each student, fostering a strong foundation in music theory, technique, and performance. Proven ability to create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages creativity, discipline, and musical expression. Expertise in preparing students for recitals, exams, and auditions while maintaining a focus on building lifelong musical skills. Passionate about inspiring a love for music and helping students reach their full potential both musically and personally.

Clayton Parker
Piano, Trumpet, & Alto Sax
Clayton is a professional musician born and raised in Virginia Beach. He began his musical career with Trumpet in 2014, and learning Saxophone and Piano in 2016. He has also just acquired his Bachelor of Arts in Music at Virginia Commonwealth University as of May 2024, with the intention of pursuing a Master’s degree in Media Scoring and Production. He has learned under great artists such as World renowned Yamaha Performing Artist and former VCU Trumpet Professor Rex Richardson, Taylor Barnett of NOBS Brass and Jazz Director of VCU,Ryan Kopasci of VCU Peppas, Adjunct Saxophone Professor JC Kuhl, and Low Brass Professor Ross Walter. Clayton is a massive fan of video games and their music, alongside other genres of music like lofi, jazz, classical, rap, and more.

Shea Batson
Guitar, Bass Guitar, & Uke
I’m Shea Batson, I teach electric guitar, bass guitar, & note reading / tablature. My styles that I teach are Rock blues, Jazz as I have studied music at Berklee College of Music. I have been playing for over 36 years and have taught at multiple music stores and studios in Virginia Beach. Beside teaching guitar, I teach most styles of bass guitar including slap.

Cody Albers
Piano & Drums
Codey Albers has been playing the piano since he was 5 years old. As a former middle-school and high school teacher, Codey has experience working with students of any age group and specializes in tailoring individualized lesson plans for each unique student. Skilled in rock, jazz, classical, RnB, Gospel, and church music, Codey is ready to teach any student and any style. Codey believes that the ability to read music, understand music theory, and play by ear are all important tools in any musician’s toolbox and incorporates techniques for learning all three skills into his lessons.
